I've decided to make a schedule for cleaning the house. On my days off each day I'll take care of a handful of things. Today is: our bedroom, my bathroom, and the kitchen

Well I'm down 21 pounds. I tell you what though, everyday is a STRUGGLE. Not sure why I've always (as long as I can remember) been addicted to food. Anywho I'm proud of myself.

A Pep Talk to Myself

Well....it was bound to happen at some point. You've been doing so well but was that brownie (2 brownies) really worth it. How about the extra trail mix when you realized you had screwed up? Do you want to lose the progress you've already made. You feel so great when you are treating your body right. How do you feel right now? I bet I know.... 

Get your ass back in gear.

Summer is coming.....that means less clothes. No place to hide.  

Well that was fun. I feel better, if not a little psychotic.

My New Hobby.

My friend Lisa showed me how to crochet last Thursday. She was very patient. She even showed me how to do it left handed even though she is not left handed. This is my second attempt and it is a lot better than the first!

My Favorite Style of House.

Ready for a Vacation

The torture diet is still going great but unfortunately taking most of my energy. This is because I like to eat way too much.

Almost through week 4 and down 15 pounds as of last Friday.

My plans to rejuvenate my house kind of fizzled at the new year.

I need a pep talk.

Middle of Winter

Well....My diet is going great.

 I've lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks. Expecting that dramatic loss to fall off this week but I know that I'm in this for the long haul now. Plan is to be at goal weight by my birthday next year. Giving myself a long time... I figure it took a long time to get here, it should take a long time to get back down where I need to be.

On the home front.... We are still on the market and getting antsy, of course. This will be month number 8. Boo. We've got a few (3) houses picked out if ours were to sell. One requires a little updating and the other 2 are new/almost new construction so paint is about all on those. 

I did get my beautiful, wonderful, fantastic, Slipcovered Pottery Barn Couch just before Christmas. Love it. Love It.....Love it. The comfort is amazing. Seriously.

My old couch was crap though. So my perception might be a little off.

Been thinking a lot about the injured and hurting people of Haiti. My heart goes out to them and all those children. We were planning to adopt from there in the next year or two. Hopefully that will still be a possibility.

I'm sick of winter but trying to be more positive about it then I was last year. It's hard to do that though. Feeling a little cagey.

That almost sums up the random wonderings of my brain tonight.

The House We Were Banking on Buying Sold...

This house was what pushed us to put our house on the market. We were talking about doing it anyway but looking at this put us over the edge. It was one story with a great OPEN lay-out. I was gonna buy this house. Nothing fancy but just right. Now it's gone and I'm getting over my feelings of betrayal.

After much procrastination I got home from work yesterday and mark had taken down the christmas tree without me! Sweet!

IT'S TIME...for real this time.

I got on the scale New Years Day and found out that I weigh slightly more than when I went into labor with Syd.....
I knew it was time to start a new healthier lifestyle but this really opened my eyes. My knees have been hurting and I have a hard time tying my shoes (sad sad sad). I don't have a single item of clothing that I actually feel good wearing. oh and it's 20 degrees here and my winter coat wont fit. Anywho I started a new diet, but I don't really want to call it a diet because I actually am not starving myself. I'm just eating the way I should (I am counting calories though). I do not go to bed at night starving so it works for me.
So that's what I've been up to the last few days.... focusing on a new me.
My goal is to lose this weight slow and steady.

Weekend Off

Sydney went to stay went to stay with my mom and dad this weekend.

We have the weekend off from Parenting.

I miss Syd but this is going to be a great stress free weekend.

Right after they left with her I went out to do some Christmas/ Birthday shopping.

Killer (KILLER) cramps brought me home early.....bummer.

Took some naproxen and settled in on the couch (kind of in the fetal position) waiting for my pain (I'm a wimp) to subside.

I was teary eyed from the pain. It usually not this bad. Flipping through the channels when the remote goes dead....

on that crazy SIT AND BE FIT SHOW.

Even though 2 minutes earlier I would have said I couldn't move, I could not lay and watch that show.

Had to search out some new batteries.

Much better now.

By the Way. The roads suck here in the Kalamazoo area. SUCK.

We looked at this House Last Weekend

It needs some work (kitchen) but it is really fantastic. I love that it still has most of the ceiling medallions and all the old lights (which you can't see). I'm in love. Well maybe just in-like with it. It's on a busy road but in a great area. Oh and it's like 150 years old. Michigan Basement. A little creepy in the back of the second floor. A lot of work. We have a 2 year old....
